About University:
Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) was established by the Act No.10 of 1999 of the Legislative Assembly by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The headquarters of the university is located at Prayagraj. The University has established 12 Regional Centres and 1433 Learner Support Centres across the state of Uttar Pradesh. It has jurisdiction over the whole state of Uttar Pradesh.

It is open to all persons irrespective of classes, castes, creed, religion or sex. The University offers ..+ programmes with on roll enrolment of more than 80,000+ learners. The university has completed 25 silver years of a fruitful existence that has brought it to the forefront in terms of its academic excellence.

  • UPRTOU has been recognized under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1999 by University Grants Commission (UGC)

  • All the programmes of the university are approved by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), University Grants Commission (UGC).

  • University is accredited with B+ Grade (with 2.60 CGPA on 4 Point Scale) by National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC) on 03 January 2023.
